Attorney Martha L. Seithel of Charleston, SC; ethical gremlin, liar

In February 2010, the Philadelphia law firm of Feldman & Pinto made a monumental error in judgment when it hired Martha.

In April 2011, the Feldman firm fired Martha because her employment wasn’t working as they had hoped.

Shortly after Martha was fired, the Feldman firm discovered it was unable to access client files on “dropbox,” an online repository of electronic files in which Martha had been storing client information. (Bloomberg News)

In July 2011, Martha sent letters to at least 450 of Feldman’s clients. The letter stated Martha “recently left” the firm and now practices as Seithel Law LLC, which has an experienced team “with over twenty years of combined experience” in pharmaceutical litigation.

When Feldman and Pinto found out about the letters, it sued Martha and her law firm for breach of contract, unjust enrichment and several other claims.

As an early Christmas present for Martha, U. S. District Judge Petrese Tucker granted Feldman’s motion for a preliminary injunction against Martha.

Judge Tucker ruled that the Feldman firm was likely to prevail on its claim that Martha tortuously interfered with the firm’s contractual relations with its clients. Tucker went on to say that Martha’s misleading letter to the Feldman clients after she left the firm violated profession conduct rules and the basic duties that a lawyer owes to his/her former firm.

In Martha’s July letters to Feldman’s clients, that the Seithel Firm has an “experienced team” appears to be false. A review of Martha’s website at www.seithellaw.com makes absolutely no mention of any employees other than Martha.

Hopefully, Martha will be brought up on ethical charges for his disgusting conduct in trying to steal her prior firm’s clients. An unmitigated loser, right?
