Attorney Royce Smith of Philadelphia; ethical gremlin

The state of Pennsylvania provided Royce W. Smith with a law license in 2005 after she graduated from Temple University Law School.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Royce guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in illegal practice of law in another jurisdiction
• Failed to withdraw representation when required to so act
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
• Willfully failed to advise client that license was suspended

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court punished Royce by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
