The state of Maryland presented Eugene Ignatius Kane Jr. with a law license in 1983 after he graduated from the University of Maryland Law School.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Gene guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to provide competent representation (moron)
• Failed to communicate with client
• Failed to take steps to protect client interests upon termination
• Failed to make diligent effort to comply with opposing party discovery request

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme punished Gene by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
