Attorney Michael Quinn of Norristown, PA; slacker, repeat offender

The state of Pennsylvania provided Michael P. Quinn with a law license in 1987 after he graduated from Widener University Law School.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Mikey guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of legal matter
  • Failed to comply with rules re: hiring of disbarred attorney
  • Failed to advise client in writing basis for and amount of his fee
  • Failed to comply with client information requests
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to explain matter to extent necessary to permit client to make informed decisions regarding representation
  • Failed to take steps to protect client interests upon termination

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Mikey’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received an informal admonition for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court punished Mikey by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Mikey.

As we speak (ca. June 2018) Mikey practices with Quinn & Quinn at 411 Cherry Street in Norristown, Pennsylvania.
