Attorney Ronald Bruce Jr. of Taylor, MI; thieving slacker

The state of Michigan provided Ronald Thomas Bruce Jr. with a law license in 2001 after he graduated from Wayne State University Law School.

The Tri-County Hearing Panel 24 found Ronnie guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Neglected legal matter entrusted to him
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
  • Failed to explain matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit his clients to make informed decisions regarding the representation
  • Failed to communicate to client basis or rate of his fee before or within a reasonable time after commencing the representation
  • Continued in representation of client after being terminated
  • Failed to refund unearned fee (thief)
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Ronnie!)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished Ronnie by gifting him with a complimentary 180-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. July 2018), Ronnie practices at 20600 Eureka Road in Taylor, Michigan.
