Attorney George Curtis Jr. of Oshkosh, WI; convicted tax cheat

The state of Wisconsin provided George W. Curtis Jr. with a law license in 1995 after he graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

The Office of Lawyer Regulation (OLR) found Georgie guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Convicted of three counts of willfully failing to pay federal income taxes
  • Failed to ensure prompt notice and delivery of funds owing to clients
  • Failed to adequately supervise office staff
  • Failed to identify and locate clients to whom funds belonged proved difficult and, in some instances, required opening or reopening an estate
  • Client funds inappropriately languished in firm’s trust account for many years

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme Court punished Georgie by gifting him with  a complimentary 4-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. June 2018), Georgie practices with Apex Accident Attorneys LLC at 3475 Omro Road in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
