Former Judge Phillip Woolbright of Arizona; ethical troll

This isn’t the first award as a Judicial Misfit that has been presented to Phil. His first award can be viewed by visiting the URL at the end of this article.

After being removed from office in 2012 for engaging in a variety of egregious misconduct, Phil has the chutzpah to ask the voters into electing him again to the job he lost as a Justice of the Peace in Surprise, Arizona.

During an interview with the Phoenix News in May 2018, Phil said:

  • “I’m a victim of slander, and I'm not going to sit still."
  • "I'm a better person than anyone else running for the job."

Phil went on to state he never beat his wife, never knowingly violated a court order of protection his wife had obtained, never tried to abuse his power, never dodges a process server, and never handled cases incompetently. (Ray Stern, Phoenix New Times)

In a lame attempt at levity, Phil has put out the following laughable campaign statements.

  • “Not afraid to drain the swamp and make the judiciary great again."
  • "I am a good, honest, qualified, reputable person."
  • "By overcoming so many obstacles and trials, I just have more experience than anyone else."

Obviously, Phil missed his calling as a standup comedian.

As a former wife-beater and one who repeatedly abused his power as a judge, I’m confident that the voters will tell Phil to take a hike and vote for his opponent Judge Craig Wismer.

Even though Phil will not be elected, he should have no trouble finding a job at a greeter at the Walmart Supercenter Store on West Bell Road in Surprise. And if that doesn’t pan out he could always apply for a job as a bartender at the Pink Cabaret Strip Club on West Northern Avenue in Glendale, Arizona.
