Attorney William Nickle of Jonesboro, AR; ethical goblin

The state of Arkansas presented William Ray Nickel with a law license in 1986 after he graduated from the University of Arkansas Law School.

The Committee on Professional found Billy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to advise clients he was seeking additional legal fees and if he didn’t receive them he would use that as basis to withdraw his representation
  • Failed to explain a matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit the client to make informed decisions regarding the representation
  • Failed to explain the basis or rate of his fee to the Harpers in writing

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee on Professional Conduct punished Billy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (September 2018), Billy practices in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
