Attorney Roger Bowman of Clarksville, TN; serial offender

 

The state of Tennessee provided Roger Neill Bowman with a law license in 1968 after he graduated from the University of Tennessee School of Law. 

 

The Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility found Roger guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Roger’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

 

In one matter, while Roger was temporarily suspended, he drafted an affidavit and talked with opposing counsel regarding a client. He also failed to give notice of his suspension to clients, opposing counsel and co-counsel.

 

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Roger by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

 

Roger’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Failed to file motion to set aside dismissal of client’s case within required ten day period
  • Failed to provide the Court of Appeals with a satisfactory reason for Bowman failing to file a timely response to a motion to dismiss
  • Neglected Court of Appeal cases

Roger’s 3rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Neglected to close and estate for five (5) years
  • Neglect of estate matter led to client being held in contempt for not appearing to answer motions that he been reset multiple times with Roger’s consent and knowledge
  • Failed to expedite client litigation
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Roger by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

 

As we speak (ca. October 2018) Roger practices at 1776 Alpine Drive in Clarksville, Tennessee.
