Attorney Elizabeth Burick of Cincinnati, OH; serial liar

The state of Ohio presented Elizabeth Anne Burick with a law license in 1984 after she graduated from the University of Akron Law School.

Disciplinary Counsel of the Ohio Supreme Court found Liz guilty of the following misconduct, all of which took place while he was running for a positions as a judge on the Court of Common Pleas.

• Lied that her opponent was appointed by the county political party when in fact she knew he was appointed by the Governor
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonest or misrepresentation
• Improperly implied in as that that she would impose the death penalty without regard of the facts of the case and application of statutory standards used to determine the appropriateness of the death penalty
• Falsely stated that her opponent was lenient in sentencing a rape case defendant when in fact she knew the defendant pled guilty to a single count of sexual battery for which the maximum allowable sentence was imposed by her opponent
• Placed ads claiming to have received Union endorsements that misled the public into believing that every union had endorsed when in fact that was not true

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Lee by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and a $7,500 fine.
