Judge Thomas Barkdull III of West Palm Beach, FL; moronic loser

The state of Florida provided Thomas Barkdull III with a law license in 1981 after he graduated from Florida State University Law School.

In one matter, Tommy was assigned to a personal injury case being prosecuted by attorney Jeff Tomberg of Boynton Beach against Winn-Dixie Stores.

After defense counsel filed a motion for summary judgment (dismissal of the lawsuit), Judge Barkdull scheduled a hearing on the matter. After arriving for the hearing at the scheduled time, Tomberg needed to make a visit to the Little Boys Room.

When Tomberg appeared in the courtroom a few minutes later, Barkdull and defense counsel were wrapping up the hearing. Judge Barkdull then granted summary judgment to Winn-Dixie.

Mr. Tomberg then filed an appeal with the Court of Appeals over the dismissal of client’s lawsuit via Barkdull’s grant of Summary Judgement. Subsequently, the Court of Appeals reversed Judge Barkdull’s asinine ruling, and stated in its reversal:

  • Judge Barkdull abused his discretion
  • Mr. Tomberg was only a few minutes late for the hearing
  • Mr. Tomberg “offered a reasonable explanation for his tardy appearance”

Due to Barkdull’s incompetence, the taxpayers have been forced to pay for the costs incurred by the Court of Appeals and for at least one additional hearing before Barkdull the Moron.

As we speak (June 2018), Tommy continues to sit as a Palm Beach County judge in West Palm Beach, Florida.
