Attorney Charles Edelson of Beaverton, OR; slacker, repeat offender

The state of Oregon provided Charles Z. Edelson with a law license in 1983 after he graduated from Williamette University Law School.

The Oregon State Bar found Chuck guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to keep client informed about status of legal matter
  • Failed to file court-ordered brief on client’s behalf
  • Failed to comply with client information requests
  • Failed to withdraw representation when required to so act
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Chuck!)
  • Misconduct caused injury to client
  • Misconduct involved multiple offenses

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Chuck’s First Bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary reprimand for engaging in a variety of misconduct

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court punished Chuck by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. June 2018) Chuck practices at 9900 SW 135th Street in Beaverton, Oregon.
