Attorney Aaron Rodenburg of Council Bluffs, IA; ethical goblin

The state of Iowa presented Aaron William Rodenburg with a law license in 2001 after he graduated from the University of Iowa Law School.

The Iowa Supreme Court Disciplinary Board found Aaron guilty of the following misconduct.

• Created a conflict of interest
• Obtained a financial interest adverse to client’s interests
• Failed to advise client in writing to seek independent advice regarding engaging in a financial dealing with Aaron

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Aaron by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
