Judge Mark Riley of Weatherford, TX: ethical troll

The state of Texas presented Mark R. Riley with a law license in 1983 after he graduated from the University of Texas Law School.

The Texas Commission on Judicial Conduct is investigating Mark for engaging in the following misconduct.

In one matter, it is alleged by the complainant that Mark hired his girlfriend, Brandy Bissland, who did not meet qualifications for the job and gave her absurd raises. It was also alleged in the complaint that Ms. Bissland provided false information about her education background on her employment application. (Christin Coyne, Weatherford Democrat)

Several Parker County employees told the Weatherford Democrat that Mark and Ms. Bissland were in a relationship while she was employed by the county and that he treated her preferentially from the time she was hired.

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Mark by the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca. May 2018), Mark continues to sit as a Parker County Justice of the Peace in Weatherford, Texas.
