The state of Colorado provided Edward Steven Waitkus with a law license in 1984 after he graduated from the University of Denver Law School.

The Colorado State Bar found Eddie guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to take any action on client’s personal injury uninsured motorist compensation claim for a three-year period
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• After being terminated and aware replacement counsel had discussed malpractice claim with the former client, Stevie improperly met with the client to discuss the malpractice claim

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished Eddie by gifting him, with a complimentary stayed 6-month suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Eddie.
