Attorney Charles Desotelle of Flint, MI; ethical gremlin

The state of Michigan provided Charles R. Desotelle with a law license in 1992 after he graduated from Michigan State University Law School.

The Tri-County Hearing Panel found Charlie guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Deposited personal funds into an IOLTA account more than amount necessary to pay financial institution service charges or fees
  • Violated or attempted to violate the Rules of Professional Conduct, knowingly assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished Charlie by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. May 2018) Charlie practices at 503 South Saginaw Street in Flint, Michigan.
