Attorney Denise Benjavic of Gaithersburg, MD; ethical goblin

The state of Maryland presented Denise J. Benjavic with a law license in 1988 after she graduated from the University of Baltimore Law School.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Denise guilty of the following misconduct.

• Used escrow account as an operating account
• Issued checks drawn on escrow account payable to cash
• Paid personal expenses from escrow account

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme punished Denise by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.
