Attorney Anne Hovis of DC; ethical goblin

The DC Bar presented Anne P. Hovis with a law license in 1988 after he graduated from George Washington University Law School.

The DC Bar Counsel found Anne guilty of the following misconduct.

• Improperly communicated about the subject of the representation with a party she knew to be represented by another lawyer in the matter
• Engaged in conduct that seriously interferes with the administration of justice
• Intentionally disregarded a properly served subpoena (Screw you, said Anne!)
• Impaired plaintiff’s rights in a legal proceeding

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the DC Court of Appeals punished Anne by gifting her with a complimentary admonition. 

As we speak (ca. May 2018), Anne practices at 1101 30^th Street NW in Washington DC.
