Attorney Brian Kohn of Billings, MT; thieving perjurer

The state of Montana presented Brian Kohn with a law license in 1994.

First and foremost, it should be noted that his isn’t Brian’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license for engaging in a variety of misconduct. A report on that misconduct can be viewed by visiting the URL listed at the end of this article.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Brian guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to return unearned fees (thief)
  • Committed criminal perjury or false swearing
  • Failed to withdraw client representation after license suspended
  • Failed to resume divorce proceedings on client’s behalf
  • Neglected to take any action on client’s separation matter after filing petition
  • Judge dismissed divorce petition due to no action being taken
  • Abandoned client in divorce action
  • Failed to advise client of license suspension
  • Lied in affidavit to Supreme Court seeking reinstatement of his law license that he had “candidly” informed his clients about his license suspension and helped them find alternative counsel

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Brian by the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Montana Supreme Court.

And lastly, because Attorney Misfits in Montana are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Brian has not been criminally charged with perjury.

As we speak (ca. March 2018, Brian practices at 2722 Third Avenue in Billings, Montana.
