Judge Corinne Klatt of New Haven, CT; Judge Roy Bean Wannabee

The state of Connecticut presented Leigh Ann Darby with a law license in 1999 after she graduated from the University of Connecticut Law School.

FYI: Judge Roy Bean was an infamous Justice of the Peace and saloon owner in Texas who called himself the "The Law West of the Pecos." Roy was also affectionately referred to as the Hanging Judge.

Former Gov. Mary Rell was duped into appointing Corrinne as a New Haven District Superior Court judge in 2009. Corrinne didn’t receive the appointment because she was the most qualified attorney in the greater New Haven. She received the appointment because she had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

In one matter, the Connecticut State Police applied for a warrant to arrest Judge Klatt after she refused to sign a prior arrest warrant. Salisbury resident trooper Mark Lauretano charged that Judge Klatt is guilty of coercion and hindering a criminal investigation by refusing to sign the warrant.

The arrest warrant was for an attack on a man involved in a fight in a café. Trooper Lauretano asserted that Klatt wouldn’t sign the warrant “unless she received an arrest for the victim” in the fight.

It is highly abusive for a judge to insist on the charging of an individual as a condition for signing an arrest warrant against another individual.

This wasn’t the first time that Klatt thumbed her nose at the police when she refused to sign arrest warrants. Apparently, she believes that her opinion is superior to that of the arresting and/or charging police officers.

As one would suspect, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Review Council never took any action against Judge Klatt for her imperious and clearly inappropriate conduct.

As we speak (ca. March 2018), Klatt continues to sit as a New Haven District Superior Court judge in New Haven, Connecticut.
