Attorney Richard Hackerd of Cleveland, OH; ethical goblin

The state of Ohio presented Richard Earl Hackerd with a law license in 1991 after he graduated from Cleveland State University Law School.

The Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association Court found Dick guilty of the following conduct.

• Engaged in an egregious conflict of interest
• Knowingly disclosed confidential client privileged information
• Failed to obtain waivers from clients with conflicting interests
• Used confidential information received from one client against that client while representing that client’s former husband in an ongoing divorce case

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Dick by the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court.
