Attorney Aaron Fethke of Searsport, ME; ethical troll

The state of Maine presented Aaron Fethke with a law license in 19983 after he graduated from the New England Law School. Georgie also received a law license to practice in Massachusetts.

The Panel B of the Grievance Commission of the Maine Board of Bar Overseers found Aaron guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
• Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Aaron!)
• Violated or attempted to violate a provision of either the Maine Rules of Professional Conduct or the Maine Bar Rules, or knowingly assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maine Supreme Judicial Court punished Aaron by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 4-month suspension of his law license.

In truth the comedians sitting on the Maine Supreme Judicial Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Aaron.
