Attorney Charles Jones of Monroe, LA; convicted tax cheat

The state of Louisiana presented Charles D. Jones with a law license in 1975 after he graduated from Loyola University Law School.

The Louisiana Disciplinary Board found Chuck guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Convicted of one felony count of tax evasion
  • Convicted of two felony counts of making and subscribing a false tax return
  • Sentenced to serve 27 months in a federal prison
  • Ordered to pay $305,174 in restitution to the IRS

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the Louisiana Supreme Court punished Chuck gifting him with a complimentary 7-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. March 2018) Chuck practices with the Jones Law Group LLC at 5710 Bon Aire Drive in Monroe, Louisiana.
