Attorney Jonathan Washburn of Wilmington, NC; ethical goblin

The state of North Carolina presented Jonathan W. Washburn with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from Wake Forest University Law School.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to perform monthly/quarterly reconciliations of trust accounts
• Reconciliation documents established negative balances resulting from payments to Johnny’s firm in excess of firm funds in trust account
• Failed to provide requested documents to ethics investigators (Up yours, said Johnny!)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Rudy gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. June 2018) Rudy practices at 225 Valley River Avenue in Murphy, North Carolina.
