Attorney Carven Angel of Ocala, FL; serial scofflaw

The state of Florida presented Carven Dwight Angel with a law license in 1968 after he graduated from the University of Florida Law School.

The Florida Judicial Qualifications Commission found Carven guilty of the following misconduct, all of which took place while was a sitting Circuit Court judge in Ocala, Florida.

  • Engaged in a pattern of improper conduct
  • Engaged in prohibited partisan political activity
  • Improperly attended political party functions
  • Failed to be faithful to the law
  • Illegally represented himself and held himself out as a member of a partisan political party
  • Knowingly allowed daughter to attend, campaign and speak on his behalf at a meeting of the Silver Springs Short Democratic Club to which his opponent was not invited
  • Improperly attended and participated in regular meetings of the Ocala Republican Women’s Club

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Carven by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. June 2018), Carven practices his brand of law at 2724 SE 15th Street in Ocala, Florida.
