Attorney Barry Promislow of British Columbia, CAN; ethical troll

The Law Society of British Columbia presented Barry J. Promislow with a law license in 1958 after he graduated from the University of British Columbia Law School.

The Disciplinary Committee of the Law Society found Barry guilty of the following misconduct.

• Repeatedly engaged in discourteous conduct when dealing with opposing counsel
• Knowingly engaged in professional misconduct
• Failed to comply with terms of undertaking
• Fees he collected were ordered reduced by $3,700

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Law Society punished Barry by gifting him with a complimentary $10,000 fine and $3,500 in costs.
