Liberty Counsel’s Mat Staver: Today’s “Bigoted Homophobe” Award Winner

This isn’t the first Award presented to Matty. In the past, he has been the recipient of twenty (20) Awards in various categories. Those awards are listed at the end of this article and can be viewed by going to the listed categories.

Matty is the chairman of the Religious Right Wing Loony legal group Liberty Counsel. In further proving that he should have his law license revoked, Matty claims that the administration of Donald “Trumporleone” Trump does not have to comply with any ruling from any federal court regarding allowance of abortions for undocumented teens.

To further establish his bona fides as one of America’s Premier Bigots and Homophobes, Matty decided to once again attack the judiciary. In this instance, Matty went after Andrew McDonald, who was recently nominated to be the Chief Justice of the Connecticut Supreme Court. If confirmed, he would be the first openly gay chief justice of any state court in the U.S. of A.

During a recent (January 2018) appearance on VCY America’s “Crosstalk” Comedy Show, Matty spewed forth the following bigotry to assuage VCY’s low I.Q. followers.

• “Here’s the problem with it beyond the issue of the morality of this.”
• “Beyond the issue of other consequences is the fact that what we typically see is someone’s identity, their being, completely wrapped up in their sexual practices, meaning that—do you think that if you had an Aaron and Melissa Klein or a Jack Phillips bakery or anything else like that where you have the LGBT clash with religious freedom or freedom of expression come before this judge, do you think this judge is going to be open and fair irrespective of what he does to rule based on the Constitution and the rule of law? I don’t think so.”
• “This is a real problem because what we are doing is we’re putting somebody on a bench who is siding with their personal identity.”

Matty completed his bigoted rant by saying:

• “The question is: are you going to get a fair shake out of this individual who identifies as someone based upon his sexual practices, who is identified and identifies himself based upon certain behavior?”
• “Are you gonna get a fair shake? I don’t think so.”
• “So that is a real problem in this nomination of this appointment of this individual.”

Matty the Bigot doesn’t have any problem with an avowed bigot, homophobe, serial lawbreaker and religious nutcase like Roy Moore sitting as the Chief Justice of Alabama because he knows Ol’ Roy will stick it to the gays and other minorities under the sham guise of “religious freedom.”

In slamming Judge McDonald for being gay and giving adoring approval to an acknowledged bigot like Roy Moore, Matty is a total embarrassment to all well-intentioned hypocrites.
