Attorney Mary Nealon of Hopkinton, MA; slacker

The state of Massachusetts presented Mary Nealon with a law license in 1991 after she graduated from Rutgers University Law School.

The Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers found Mary guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to secure her appointment as executor to estate until more than two hears had elapsed since the decedent’s death
• Deposited over $274,00 in estate assets to her IOLTA account which resulted in the funds not receiving any interest
• Failed to promptly make estate distributions to estate beneficiaries
• Failed to promptly complete settlement of estate
• Failed to promptly sell the decedent’s home
• Failed to respond to client inquires re: status of estate
• Failed to prepare a first and final account for an estate
• Failed to respond to inquiries from her clients about the status of legal matter

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers punished Mary by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.  

As we speak (ca. May 2018) Mary practices with Nealon & Nealon at 87 Elm Street in Hopkinton, Massachusetts.
