Attorney Michael Paris of Needham, MA; check bouncing loser

The state of Massachusetts presented Michael A. Paris with a law license in 1968 after he graduated from the New England School of Law.

The Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers found Mike guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Wrote two checks for $3,867 on insufficient fund account (rubber)
  • Failed to maintain individual client ledgers
  • Improperly paid business expenses directly from trust account
  • Trust account was not reconciled
  • Failed to track of checks that had not cleared or of funds that were due to client that he had failed to disburse to them
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers punished Mike by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

Because Attorney Misfits in Massachusetts are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Mike was never criminally charged with writing bad checks.

As we speak (ca. May 2018) Mike practices at 47 Sutton Road in Needham, Massachusetts.
