Newt Gingrich: Today’s “Rodney Dangerfield” Award Winner

Congratulations to….

Newt Gingrich
Today’s Rodney Dangerfield” Award Winner

At a recent Republican Presidential debate, Newt was asked to explain why Freddie Mac paid him $300,000. Newt denied he was paid as a lobbyist and went on to deny that he’s ever worked as a lobbyist after leaving his post as a U.S. Congressman. (Bloomberg News)

Newt the Comic explained that he was a historian who “offered them advice on precisely what they didn’t do,” and warned the company that its lending practices were “insane.” (Bloomberg News)

After overcoming a bout of extreme laughter, former Freddie Mac executives disputed Newt‘s account. Put simply, they said Newt was a liar.

Subsequently, Bloomberg News discovered that Newt had actually received about $1.7 million in consulting fees from two contracts he had with Freddie Mac.

This is the same comedian that attacked Freddie Mac by claiming it was responsible for the home mortgage meltdown and then went on to say that former Sen. Chris Dodd and Rep. Barney Frank should be arrested for supporting Freddie Mac.

The liberal media has attacked Newt as a liar and hypocrite. However, just because the facts prove he’s a liar doesn’t really mean he lied, right? After all, if Newt believes his lies are true, then they become true, don’t they?

Newt was merely off by a mere $1.4 million in fees he received from Freddie Mac. Let’s give the old codger a break! After all, he’s an historian, not a mathematician!

And lastly, aren’t’ most standup comedians like Newt renown for spewing forth BS?

Congrats Newt; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as a accomplished standup comedian; you are far too humble.
