Judge Bruce Scolton of Chautauqua, NY; slacker

The state of Texas presented Kathleen Leahy Robichaud with a law license in 1977 after he graduated from the University Law School.

The New York Commission on Judicial Conduct found Bruce guilty of the following misconduct.

• Delayed holding small claims hearing for 8 months in 3 cases
• Failed to render decision in small claims case for 34 months
• Delayed holding small claims hearing for 11 months
• Failed to schedule hearing on small claims case for 26 months
• Failed to dispose of court matters fairly and promptly
• Engaged in inexcusable neglect of judicial duties

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Commission punished Bruce by gifting him with a complimentary admonition.

As we speak (ca. April 2016), Bruce continues to sit as a Justice of the Harmony Town Court, Chautauqua County, New York.
