Attorney Alan J. Pope of Binghamton, NY: apologis for racist morons

Alan J. Pope was presented with a law license by the New York Appellate Court in 1980 after graduating from Albany Law School.

Unfortunately, Alan the Enabler is a member of the New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct (The Commission).

The egregious misconduct of former Judge J. Kevin Mulroy, who sat on the County Court in Onondaga County, came before Alan and the Commission. Judge Mulroy was a die-in-the-wool racist and bigot who sat on the court for 12 or more years. Evidence presented at Milroy’s disciplinary hearing proved that he was guilty of despicable conduct while presiding over a murder and robbery case involving a 67-year-old African-American woman who was the victim. That evidence is as follows:
  • The night before a scheduled pretrial, Mulroy attended a golf tournament at a country club
  • While at the country club, Mulroy approached the prosecutor in the murder case and told him his office should be “reasonable” in its plea offers to two of the defendants
  • Mulroy then asked the prosecutor if he was worried that if his office made reasonable offers to the defendants that it would appear to be “giving away” the cases
  • Mulroy then told the prosecutor that he shouldn’t worry because no one cared what happened, since the victim was just “some old nigger bitch”
The Commission voted to remove Judge Mulroy from the bench; however, Alan the Apologist for Judicial Misfits, dissented when he laughingly claimed that a censure was adequate punishment.

Why not a paid vacation for Alan the Racist to Tahiti Alan Baby?

As we speak (ca. Nov 2011) Alan Pope practices law with Pope & Schrader at 2 Court Street in Binghamton, New York.

Is it any wonder that Judicial Misfits are held to a lower standard of conduct when enablers like attorney Alan Pope are appointed to Judicial Misconduct Commissions?
