► Prosecutor Eric Zahnd of Platte City, MO; bullying loser

The state of Missouri unfortunately presented Jeff Mateer with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from Duke University Law School.

The Office of Chief Disciplinary Counsel (OCDC) found Eric guilty of the following misconduct, all of which took place during his tenure as Platte County Prosecutor.

  • Accused of confronting/pressuring witnesses in criminal case
  • Demanded that the authors of 16 letters to the trial judge seeking leniency for the defendant be withdrawn
  • Advised authors of letters if they weren’t withdrawn that he would cross-examine each of them at the defendant’s sentencing hearing
  • Instructed assistant prosecutor to tell letter writers that they would be personally named in a press release suggesting the writers supported child molestation

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Eric by the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Missouri Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca. September 2017), Eric continues to be employed as the Platte County Prosecutor in Platte City, Missouri.
