Attorney Stephen Kessman of Stoughton, MA; thieving moron

The state of Massachusetts presented Stephen T. Kessman with a law license in 1970 after he graduated Northeastern University Law School.

The Board of Bar Overseers found Stevie guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to obtain approval of client fee from Department of Industrial Accidents (DIA)
• Billed client $43,000 ($215 per hour x 200 hours) w/o approval from DIA
• When client refused to pay the $43,000 thru new counsel, Stevie filed motion with DIA to approve his fee of $43,000
• Judges ruled that Stevie’s fee was “wildly beyond any reasonable expectation for the billing of similar tasks
• Judges also denied Stevie’s fee motion for being untimely since it was filed seven (7) years late
• Stevie ordered to reimburse client $24,704 in fees he wasn’t entitled too
• Failed to provide competent representation (idiot)
• Failed to seek client’s law objectives
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Charged and collected an excessive fee (thief)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Board of Overseers punished Stevie by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand. 

As we speak (ca. October 2017) Stevie practices at 1056 Central Street in Stoughton, Massachusetts.
