Attorney Charles Dirks III of Baton Rouge; lying loser

The state of Louisiana presented Charles Leopold Dirks III with a law license in 1998 after he graduated from Lousiana State University Law School.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Charlie guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Negligence led to client losing right of appeal
  • Lied to client about status of her case for a year
  • Dishonest in response to ethics investigators (Screw you, said Charlie!)
  • Knowingly violated duty owed to client
  • Intentionally failed to advise client of dismissal of her case

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court punished Charlie by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. September 2017), Charlie practices at 6307 Hope Estate Drive in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
