Attorney Sean Brohawn of Reno, NV; thieving slacker

The state of Nevada presented Sean L. Brohawn with a law license in 2001 after he graduated from the University of Maryland Law School.

The Nevada Disciplinary Board found Sean guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in the illegal practice of law while license suspended
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Engaged in a conflict of interest
  • Failed to safeguard client funds
  • Failed to refund $4,935 in unearned fees upon termination (thief)
  • Failed to deposit client funds into client trust account
  • Failed to advise clients to seek outside counsel re: $7,000 client loan to Sean
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Sean!)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Nevada Supreme Court punished Sean by gifting him with a complimentary 4-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. November 2017), Sean practices with the Brohawn Law Firm at 3500 Lakeside Court in Reno, Nevada.
