Attorney Maia Braun of Troy, MI; convicted felon

The state of Michigan provided Maia Johnson Braun with a law license in 1987 after she graduated from the University of Michigan Law School.

The Tri- County Hearing Panel #25 found Maia guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Maia pled guilty in the United States Court for the Middle District of Florida to one count of False Declaration on a Tax Return, a felony.

The trial court ordered that Maia make restitution to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in the amount of $98,953.

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Panel punished Maia by gifting her with a complimentary 180-day suspension of her law license.

As we speak (December 2017), Maia practices with Gold Star Law PC at 2701 Troy Center Drive in Troy, Michigan.
