The state of Michigan provided Stephen James Smith with a law license in 1974 after he graduated from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.

The Tri-County Hearing Panel #19 found Stevie guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Violated or attempted to violate Rules of Conduct by knowingly assisting or inducing another to do so, or doing so through the acts of another
• Negligent revealed a client secret w/o client consent
• Failed to send entire client file to successor counsel when asked

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Panel punished Stevie by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (December 2017), Stevie practices with the Law Center of S. James Smith PC at 8841 Macomb Street in Grosse Ile, Michigan.
