The state of Michigan provided Martin E. Stein with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from Wayne University Law School.

The Tri-County Hearing Panel #67 found Marty guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in coduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Violated or attempted to violate Rules of Conduct by knowingly assisting or inducing another to do so, or doing so through the acts of another
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to communicate with client
• Failed to appear at two status conferences
• Failed to take action to obtain proper service of process
• Failed to provide competent representation (Dumbo)
• Neglected legal matter entrusted to him
• Failed to expedite client litigation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Panel punished Marty by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
