An unreliable source indicated that Donald “Trumporleone” Trump was both saddened and angered when he was informed that some left-wing commie type liberals in the greater University Park area surrounding Penn State University had succeeded in the removal of Joe Paterno’s statute that sat outside Beaver Stadium at Penn State University.
Although The Don’s anger came about on July 23, 2012 when the removal of the 7-foot, 900-pound bronze statute via the use of a forklift. The source stated that The Don tossed a glass of Orange juice at the TV screen as they showed the removal.
The Don let it be known in no uncertain terms that just because Paterno chose to remain silent and give the proverbial wink and a nod to the sexual abuse of young boys by Jerry Sandusky didn’t warrant the removal of a statute honoring Joe’s record as one of colleges all-time great coaches even though Joe’s silence allowed Sandusky to abuse even more young boys.
And finally, The Don was particularly outraged that Joe would be thrown under the bus for refusing to rat out a good friend and longtime associate.
Now we know why The Don was not happy about the removal and/or destruction of statues of Gen. Robert E. Lee and other Confederate statutes honoring the great sacrifices Lee and his comrades made in order that slavery would continue to be a legal enterprise in the U.S.of A.
