Attorney Michael Etkin of Roseland, NJ; thieving loser

The state of New Jersey presented Michael S. Etkin with law license in 1981 after he graduated from St. John’s University Law School. Mike also received a law license from New York state in 1979.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Jamie guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to promptly notify party of funds received belong to said party
  • Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation
  • Failed to safeguard fee owing to former law firm
  • Knowingly misappropriated (stole) law firm funds
  • Misused client escrow funds
  • Spent nearly $100,000 of funds belonging to law firm for personal use

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Committee punished Dave by gifting him with a complimentary 3-month suspension of his law license.

As one would suspect, Mike’s self-serving website at https://www.lowenstein.com/makes no mention of Mike’s misconduct as set forth above. Apparently, the firm chose to conceal this relevant information so as to not limit its future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. March 2018) Mike practices with Lowenstein Sandler LLP at 65 Livingston Avenue in Roseland, New Jersey.
