Attorney Alexander Alfano of Coral Gables, FL; Dumbo, slacker

The state of Florida provided Alexander Joseph Alfano with a law license in 1993 after he graduated from the University of Florida Law School.

The Florida State Bar found Alex guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to communicate basis or rate of fee or costs to client
• Improperly shared legal fees with a nonlawyer
• Failed to file client asylum application before 1-year statute expired
• Failed to clearly explain to client process of voluntary departure from U.S.
• Failed to advise client of briefing schedule re: asylum appeal
• Failed to provide competent representation (Dumbo)
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to communicate with client
• Failed to keep clients informed about status of legal matters

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme punished Alex by gifting him with a complimentary 10-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. September 2017), Alex practices at 2655 South Le Jeune Road in Coral Gables, Florida.
