Attorney Andrew Byer of Fort Lauderdale; convicted felon

The state of Florida provided Andrew Alexander Byer with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from Syracuse University Law School.

The Florida State Bar found Andy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Convicted of misprision of a felony
  • Sentenced to four months in federal prison
  • Fined $5,000 and placed on probation for one year

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme punished Alex by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. September 2017), Alex practices at 1314 East Las Olas Blvd in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
