Attorney Joseph Parrish of Tampa; ethical misfit

The state of Florida provided Joseph E. Parrish with a law license in 2003 after he graduated from the University of Miami Law School.

The Florida State Bar found Joey guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Joey’s negligence led to his non-lawyer employee embezzling more than $100,000, including funds from his trust account. In addition, the paralegal caused an insurance company to pay $100,000 for a settlement, while Joey and the client agreed to a settlement of $30,000. Joey’s paralegal embezzled the difference.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Joey by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. April 2016), Joey practices with Fortis Law PA at 100 North Tampa Street in Tampa, Florida.
