Attorney Michael Puskas of Ontario, CAN; ethical gnome

The Law Society of Upper Canada presented Michael Stephen Puskas with a law license in 1980 after he graduated from the University of Toronto Law School.

A Disciplinary Hearing Panel found Mike guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in professional misconduct
• Abdicated professional responsibility
• Failed to properly supervise office staff
• Negligence led to staff member diverting $893,000 of client trust funds to her own use

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee of the Law Society punished

Mike by gifting him with a complimentary 20-month suspension of his law license.
