Attorney Henry Wood III of Charleston, WV; slacker

The state of West Virginia presented Henry E. Wood III with a law license in 1988 after he graduated from the South Texas College of Law.

The Lawyer Disciplinary Board found Hank guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to communicate with clients
  • Failed to keep client reasonably informed of status of matter
  • Failed to comply with client information requests
  • Failed to explain a matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit the client to make informed decisions regarding the representation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the West Virginia Supreme Court punished Hank by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. September 2017), Hank practices with the Wood Law Offices LC at 1118 Kanawha Blvd in Charleston, West Virginia.
