Attorney Michael Florez of Cincinnati; lying loser

The state of Ohio presented Michael Gerard Florez with a law license in 1982 after he graduated from Ohio State University Law School.

The Ohio Supreme Court Disciplinary Counsel found Mike guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Neglected client’s legal matter
  • Failed to honor contract of employment
  • Failed to file application for tax-exempt status with the Internal Revenue Service on behalf of a client who had retained him to perform that service
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Prepared and forwarded to ethics investigators copies of a completed application and follow-up letter to the IRS, which he falsely claimed to have prepared and submitted months earlier (Up yours, said Mike!)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Mike by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. September 2017), Mike practices at 119 East Court Street in Cincinnati, Ohio.
