Attorney Henry Howe of Grand Forks, ND; Bumbling Buffoon

The state of North Dakota presented Hank with a law license in 1973 after he graduated from Golden Gate University Law School in San Francisco.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Phil guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Botched immigration case of a Mexican couple, Elias and Margarita Morales
  • Failed to provide sufficient evidence to support the Morales’ case
  • Failed to communicate with clients
  • Failed to keep clients informed of status of legal matter
  • Failed to file court papers in a timely manner
  • Unprepared when he appeared in court
  • Failed to give immigration judge extra information that the judge had requested and that would have bolstered his client’s case, despite being given extra time to compile the information.

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Hank’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received three (3) complimentary suspensions of his law license for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the North Dakota Supreme Court punished Hank by gifting him with a complimentary 5-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. August 2017), Hank practices at 421 Demers Avenue in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
