Today’s Public Official Pervert is Ohio County Comm. Rodney Clinger  Rodney “the Rod” Clinger was a Morrow County Commissioner. Mt. Gilead, which is the County seat, is about 45 miles north of Columbus.
Last year the Perv was indicted on felony charges of unauthorized use of a computer and theft in office.
Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification & Investigation agents seized some country computers in 2010 as part of a fraud investigation of a nonprofit Mount Gilead agency that provides emergency medical and 911 dispatching services for the count. An examination of the Rod’s computer discovered a “large volume of pornographic material” on its hard drive.
On Aug 11, 2011, Rod the Perv pleaded guilty to having downloaded pornography on a county-owned computer.
Visiting Judge James Henson sentenced the Perv to one year probation and fine him $1,000. As part of his plea deal, the Perv agreed to resign his position as a Morrow County Commissioner.
An unreliable source indicated that the Rod has recently accepted two part time jobs; one as a janitor at the Trabue Adult Book Store located at 3615 Trabue Road in Columbus, and two as a doorman at the Private Dancer gentleman’s club that is next door to Trabue’s dirty book store.
