Attorney Charles Lore of New York City; serial fraudster

The state of New York presented Charles Jason Lore with a law license in 2005 after he graduated from New York University (NYU) Law School.

In one matter, Charlie was arrested (ca. April 2017) for allegedly submitting scores of fraudulent immigration forms for actors, musician and artists—and then stole another attorney's identity to keep the scheme going. (Mark Hamblett, New York Law Journal)

Charlie specialized in I-129 Forms used to apply for temporary nonimmigrant worker visas. U.S. Southern District prosecutors allege that Charlie submitted over 150-phony “no-objection” letters from trade representatives representing actors, musicians and artists in seeking visa petitions.

When Immigrations and Customs Enforcement officers contacted Charlie about one of his phony letters, he went about stealing another attorney’s identity to file another 189 additional petitions with the same exception under that lawyer’s name.

Charlie was charged with one count each of visa fraud, mail fraud and aggravated identity theft.

All that’s left now is to see how long it takes before Charlie cops a plea to lessen the amount of time he will spend commiserating with those friendly inmates at the local hoosegow.

Hopefully, the sentencing judge will order that Charlie be incarcerated at the Leavenworth Penitentiary in Cell No. 128 where he’ll be roomed up with Clarice (real name Clarence) who is known to be one of the friendliest guys in the joint.
